Warm Welcome 2013

Hola ,

Warm Wishes!

Here it is, 2013(Year of Snakes). The time of unfolding horizons, realization of new dreams, rediscover new strengths, new hopes, new aspirations, new resolutions, renewed spirits and JUSTICE delivered.

I read a beautiful depiction about New Year. Here it goes -

"What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the essence of a year."

As we move on, each year brings with itself - diverse experience and enriched learning.  Each day of the year, unwraps a beautiful chapter and a new beginning.

The year 2012 spread the NEED for CHANGE. Change in our system, change in outlook, change in demands, change in needs and change in OURSELVES. Change in ourselves will change our outlook towards what is just and unjust which in turn will help us to change the needs and demands of our society. As a result of these changes, OUR SYSTEM will change.

Change for Betterment, Change for Right.

My 2012 memoirs says, they feels safe in my personal diary and have thrown out the generics accusing them of not being anecdotes and part of their family.

I shall not interfere in this feud. :D
Though my blog awaits your new year resolutions and views. Bring them on! :)

Signing off for now. There is more to 2013. :)

Saludos,

Suvina

" - There is indeed a pressing need for change, but the question is that whether the people who really require a change will even read such intellectual posts? My apologies for being harsh and critical, but along with the need of a change in our society, it is also required to take strong measures. At least in the recent case which is so much public, the guilty should be hanged till death, otherwise it will just encourage others of their kind...

    1. Yes, you are right but at least we the so-called "intellectual people" should also know how desperately we need a Change in our system and cannot let it go now. The situation is much much worse that one can carelessly let it go.
For your second point, I don't agree to this type of justice. A simple "Hang till death" is not perceived to be such a severe punishment for this heinous crime. Everyone know about the Judicial system and their lagging cases. A punishment should be such that one don't even dare dream of doing such a crime. You only tell , did "hang till death" create such a dreadful situation for sinners, No. There still is so much crime and much more than it should be.

For we as an individual have to create such a change that it impacts the corrupt government to change the laws for the betterment and not just let them get away with it by politically modulating the things because of people and media hype.

As Gandhi Ji said - "Be the change you want to see in the world."

    2. It is correct that the criminals should not go scot free. But the point I was trying to emphasize was that these people should get the most severe punishment (which happens to be hanging till death as of now; and yes, it does makes the criminal think twice if he gets to know that he can be dead if caught. A flip side of the coin is that the victim is at a greater risk of being killed) and now I will like to add that the recent criminals should get the punishment without any further delay.

There are protestors demanding for more severe punishments like burning them alive and stoning these to death but I don't think the Indian law(based on the grounds of the so called 'human rights' and 'we-should-not-be-barbaric') will hand these kind of statements to them - remember Kasab?

One problem which I clearly see here is that a delay/avoidance of the execution of these people (there is something in the news that some sections of the political class are not in favor of hanging these people!) is just encouraging the people of their type. It is essential that these people should get executed without losing any more time, charging them with murder (the girl is dead) and then let the lawmakers and social activists debate on the law amendment...

P.S.: I do agree with your change-within point, which is the theme of your post. In fact, I strongly agree with it. It is just that I was pointing out something else in my original post.

  2. Hope we changed the country as we wanted in past 8 years. Having a strong PM and string ruling party, decimated opposition party. This is exactly what we wanted to see the change.
