नमस्कार
आपण कसे आहात?
Obvious it is, the above greeting is in Marathi but मला मराठी बोलता येत नाही :(
Here it is, at last for 'Aamchi' Mumbai.
... Wait .. Wait... its not the 'END' , its just the start of my feature presentation ... 'Meri aur Bombay(i like this name) ki picture abhi baaki hai mere dost'.
From the glitz and glamor of Bollywood to being the financial captial of India; from hustle-bustle of 'Locals' to soothing breeze at Marine Drive; from J.W. Marriott to Juhu chowpatty; from Shri Siddhivinayak Temple to Haji-Ali Dargah;from not so clean beaches to lush green mountains;from Jalsa, Mannat, Ashirwaad to sprawling slums; Bombay has it all.
This reminds me of a book title "Bombay Rains and Bombay Girls" ; Bombay Rains .. aah, lovely, blissful ; Bombay Girls - I leave it for you to discover ;)
As I say -
Initial crazy trips to Bandra - Bandstand - Carter Road; a quick speedy evening at Gateway of India , Taj ,Colaba, Nariman Point ...ahh... Marine Drive; spent an afternoon with lazy lions and tigers; live IPL match at Wankhade Stadium - watched "The God" of cricket bat; the fun of traveling in the "last local"; darshan and blessings from Shri Siddhivinayak, ISKCON, Mahalaxmi temple; catching the latest flick - PVR Tuesdays; ferry ride to much hyped Elephanta caves; relaxing Juhu beach and amazing chowpatty with Special 4 Mix gola; night life at J W Marriott; majestic Hiranandani Gardens; tried to fit into the culture of "plays/theatre" - at Prithvi Theatre; and the list continues...
... and it will continue with a new To Do list(what to do when you are in Mumbai).
Time for 'PACK UP'!!!
Signing off from Mumbai
