I Don't KNOW!

Yep! That's the title and not my confused state of mind!

Hola,

How was your day? - I don't know.
How was the food? - I don't know.
Is this dress looking good on me? - I don't know.
Where is my life heading to ? - I don't know.

Life has become this one big 'I DON'T KNOW'.
Are you in the phase where answer for everything is 'I DON'T KNOW' !

What is my aim in life??

Give it a thought - What is my aim in life?

"The aim of life is to LIVE" - isn't it too mundane! Well, we all live a life so how can it be an AIM!
Hmm... some fancier aim-
  • To be another 'Satya Nadella or Sundar Pichai' : CEO of a top-notch company.
  • To be another 'Warren Buffet' : wealthiest person of the world.
  • To be another 'King of Bollywood-SRK' : best actor.
  • To be another 'Dhirubhai Ambani' : from nowhere to 'karlo duniya muthi mein'.
  • To be another 'Narendra Modi' : powerful Prime Minister.
And then there are some 'not so ordinary' aims -
  • to be an Engineer, Doctor or an Architect.
  • to be a Fashion designer or model.
  • to be a Lawyer, Judge or an Advocate.
  • to be a big fat businessman.
  • entrepreneurs
  • Army , Air force , Navy.
  • Teacher or Professor
so on and so forth. Lastly, some live their life 'aimlessly'.

"An aim in life is the only fortune worth finding."

So, what should be the purpose of my life? Earn money , make a living out of it. Gain recognition in society. Set an example for youth. AND DIE! (and be remembered forever and ever, hopefully!)
Hmm.. this is how I imagine my life - trying to run after things that would eventually make my life happy and easy. YES! EVENTUALLY! We live our life in pursuit of happiness.

Some find happiness in little and simplest of things - by lifting others, in a child's smile, giving others, saying thank you etc. That's their aim!

Again comes the question -
How should I decide my aim in life when in the end everything will be incoherent. (Such a view reflects muddled thinking, Yeah I am confused.) Aim high or low. Materialistic attainments or unworldly.

I think my aim in life should to live happy and make others too ... forever and ever!
.. and in between accommodate those fancy dreams of mine.

Discovering 'Magical' Mumbai - A Glimpse!

नमस्कार
      आपण कसे आहात?

Obvious it is,  the above greeting is in Marathi but मला मराठी बोलता येत नाही  :(

Here it is, at last for 'Aamchi' Mumbai.

... Wait .. Wait... its not the 'END' , its just the start of my feature presentation ... 'Meri aur Bombay(i like this name) ki picture abhi baaki hai mere dost'.

From the glitz and glamor of Bollywood to being the financial captial of India; from hustle-bustle of 'Locals' to soothing breeze at Marine Drive; from J.W. Marriott to Juhu chowpatty; from Shri Siddhivinayak Temple to Haji-Ali Dargah;from not so clean beaches to lush green mountains;from Jalsa, Mannat, Ashirwaad to sprawling slums; Bombay has it all.
This reminds me of a book title "Bombay Rains and Bombay Girls" ; Bombay Rains .. aah, lovely, blissful ; Bombay Girls - I leave it for you to discover ;)

As I say -

Marine Drive; spent an afternoon with lazy lions and tigers; live IPL match at Wankhade Stadium - watched "The God" of cricket bat; the fun of traveling in the "last local"; darshan and blessings from Shri Siddhivinayak, ISKCON, Mahalaxmi temple; catching the latest flick - PVR Tuesdays;  ferry ride to much hyped Elephanta caves; relaxing Juhu beach and amazing chowpatty with Special 4 Mix gola; night life at J W Marriott; majestic Hiranandani Gardens; tried to fit into the culture of "plays/theatre" - at Prithvi Theatre; and the list continues...

Warm Welcome 2013

Hola ,

Warm Wishes!

Here it is, 2013(Year of Snakes). The time of unfolding horizons, realization of new dreams, rediscover new strengths, new hopes, new aspirations, new resolutions, renewed spirits and JUSTICE delivered.

I read a beautiful depiction about New Year. Here it goes -

"What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the essence of a year."

As we move on, each year brings with itself - diverse experience and enriched learning.  Each day of the year, unwraps a beautiful chapter and a new beginning.

The year 2012 spread the NEED for CHANGE. Change in our system, change in outlook, change in demands, change in needs and change in OURSELVES. Change in ourselves will change our outlook towards what is just and unjust which in turn will help us to change the needs and demands of our society. As a result of these changes, OUR SYSTEM will change.

Change for Betterment, Change for Right.

My 2012 memoirs says, they feels safe in my personal diary and have thrown out the generics accusing them of not being anecdotes and part of their family.

I shall not interfere in this feud. :D
Though my blog awaits your new year resolutions and views. Bring them on! :)

Signing off for now. There is more to 2013. :)

Second Milestone

Fortunately it is, completed the second lap of my professional journey. In laconic way, I have successfully completed two years in IBM as well as in the mighty professional world. Though many (including me) would be dubious about  “Successful”. I will leave this concern for my colleagues and seniors to answer.  :)

Wondering how my experience has been so far? I would like to be politically correct here. In a broad sense, it has been outstanding up till now and hopes for the same in the future also. Ha-ha. I know, “Outstanding” would have raised many eyebrows. Forget not, I am trying to be politically correct, one of my professional learning. :)
If you force me to still answer that, let’s take a look at insipid version then. Each experience cannot be complete without the downs to complement the ups. I too had my downs, downs because of me, affecting me, building me and enriching me (is it too unrealistic?) Directly it seems impractical, but indirectly it is true.  You may not know, but yes, you would have imbibed these learning just for the sake of protecting appraisal. What do you think official terms and terminologies have started to sink into me? :)
The best part of any journey is the people you meet on the way. How can my journey be any different from the idealistic journey? May they be friends or mentors; they are the driving force and/or also add spice to your life.

There is so much more to add to this article. Adhering to what my title suggests, “Multum in Parvo” – much in little, I would limit my ‘boring for you’ but ‘entertaining for me’ experience to this point. Rest all is personal. :D

CONCLUSION (for those who don’t want to read the above rubbish boring crap)
Completion of two years in IBM and IT industry (professional experience)
Journey is fun.
Full of challenges, deadlines, SLA’s .
Enthusiastic environment.
And rest is CODED! :(

Well in time!
Buenas noches(Good Night) & Take care!

So it’s true!

B-4

It is a fact –
“Life is always full of Ups and Downs. The trick is to enjoy the ups and have courage during the downs.”

Do you think a common average man seriously abide by this fact?

Well, my answer is NO, rarely can we a find a person who enjoys the ride of life – exciting highs and depressing lows. It is really very tough.

It’s not that no one tries; everyone tries so that they could happily live in peace and harmony.

When people enjoy the HIGH ride, they presume the BEST is yet to come and are presently enjoying the BETTER or GOOD ups! When it comes to DOWN, people think even the smallest of LOW is the WORST they are facing and nothing can be more depressing or worst than their present condition.

People always forget that when they expect BEST in their fortune, can’t they be destined to WORST.

Let’s keep a balance in our expectation so that God gives us everything balanced.

What’s your view on this, friends? Post them. :)
